CONSTRUCT

C CONSTRUCT is the name given to a metaphysical entity or phenomena present in the INTRAMURAL CONSTRUCT Mythos, affecting only human beings with existential or otherwise unconventional worldviews or philosophies regarding the nature of the universe.
CONSTRUCT is a collective term referring to three things, a phenomena, an entity, and a designated form of CONSTRUCT that is relative to the human affected by the phenomena, referred to as a CONSTRUCTIONIST.
The phenomena causes the CONSTRUCTIONIST to exist in an independent reality that is centered around their aforementioned view of the universe, CONSTRUCT only takes effect if said view can be considered unconventional, strange or otherwise existential, meaning that CONSTRUCTIONISTS mostly consist of those who do not adhere to major religions or base atheist beliefs, though it is possible for agnostics to be affected. Due to the nature of CONSTRUCT, it can be reasonably inferred that CONSTRUCTIONISTS simply exist in separate realities that are all contained within an omniverse, this however, is false.
The concept of CONSTRUCT is rooted in SOLIPSISM, a philosophical belief that, put simply, infers that anything outside of the human mind cannot be proven to exist, as all “external” reality is rooted in causes such as inherently meaningless chemical reactions and electrical activities in synapses that either A): Is a fabrication created by the mind itself, and as such cannot be trusted. And/Or B:) Implies that any sensory phenomena that can be perceived as reality such as dreams, the waking world, Brain in a Vat Scenario/Descartes’s Evil Demon Scenario, hallucinations, etc, are all equally “real” and any differences between them are unprovable (Or in this case, based on the CONSTRUCTIONISTS CONSTRUCT.) As a result, this implies that the Solipsist themselves are the only real consciousness and the minds of others cannot be proven to exist. A similar concept is present in CONSTRUCT, however, since CONSTRUCT causes those with unconventional beliefs to exist in a reality based on those beliefs, this means that in the case of Peter Trance, who is a Solipsist, Peter *actually is* in him of himself the universe and is the only consciousness that exists with an unknown origin or meaning. This conflicts with the fact that there are multiple protagonists under the effect of CONSTRUCT that *interact with and know each other*, marking the first instance of a PARADOX. In Samuel & The Void, Samuel is a neglected and mentally fragile agnostic who has constant fears regarding the nature of reality, the existence of higher powers (and the moralities they would possess), and his inevitable mortality. In response, he develops “Construct Theory” (It should be noted that Samuel is the only known CONSTRUCTIONIST that is actually aware of CONSTRUCT to a by-name degree, it is implied that this is the case due to Samuel rejecting major religions at a young age partially due to believing that he possessed forbidden knowledge, thus retroactively causing him to possess knowledge of CONSTRUCT.
As an entity, CONSTRUCT takes form as the universe itself, the universe itself as a“being”. As a result, CONSTRUCT does not have a physical form as understood by humans, any visual representations throughout Intramural Construct are interpretations from the protagonists. This also implies that the existence of CONSTRUCT and the CONSTRUCTIONIST are mutually exclusive, they both gave birth to each other, but neither came first, thus creating another PARADOX. Due to this, it is implied that the CONSTRUCTIONIST’S CONSTRUCT “takes form” in the period of birth and infancy that the CONSTRUCTIONIST does not actually remember and has no memories of, thus, it is impossible to prove that these events actually occurred and the period before memories is akin to the period after death, unknowable and/or beyond human comprehension. CONSTRUCT is thought to have begun sometime in the early 2000’s, and its origin is implied to possibly be due to the existence of the human mind itself. It should be noted that the only things capable of breaking the rules of CONSTRUCT, ie: Existing in both Samuel and Peter’s CONSTRUCT (Reality), is CONSTRUCT itself and Beholders, former of which is thought to exist within The Moon.
BEHOLDERS
“Beholders” (Ie: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.) are an extradimensional race of aliens that make brief appearances throughout Intramural Construct, represented as various abstract shapes that observe the protagonists. In universe, the existence of Beholders is unknown to most of humanity and they exist solely to observe conscious beings throughout the universe, including CONSTRUCTIONISTS. Beholders are present in every work in Intramural Construct, and take different appearances vaguely based on the protagonists belief of what divine life would look like.
“What? Only two of you? I thought there were more; many more. [Laughs.] So this is hell. I'd never have believed it. You remember all we were told about the torture-chambers, the fire and brimstone, the "burning marl." Old wives' tales! There's no need for red-hot pokers. Hell is—other people!” - No Exit
"Threat to the order and arrangement of your whole world...Your world is suddenly haunted by the Other's values, over which you have no control" - Jean-Paul Sartre
“The Significant Others” is a term for anyone that is known to also possess sentience sufficient enough for a CONSTRUCT, yet interacts with another.
Similar to the concepts proposed by Jean-Paul Sartre,
anyone other than the protagonist of the respective work is to be considered in some way different than their incarnation in their respective fiction (Ie: The Peter in Peter & The Trip is not the Peter in Samuel & The Void, as CONSTRUCTIONISTS can only ever know a person based on external observation, any internal machinations are impossible to experience, thus making their simultaneous existence impossible.).
